India

India, the most populated country in the world, with 1.4 billion citizens, is the cradle of one of two Asia’s major civilizations and the world’s fifth-largest economy. We explore many complex issues that characterize India: Prof. Ithamar Theodor focuses on philosophies and religions in the Indian sub-continent; Dr. Sivan Goren Arzony focuses on women’s literature in India, with special emphasys on Kerala, a southwestern Indian country, particularly the works in Sanskrit and Malayalam from the 14^th–18^th centuries. We also explore India’s foreign and defense policies and the change in India’s status in Asia and even in the international arena in the last decade.
