India

India, the most populated country in the world, with 1.4 billion citizens, is the cradle of one of two Asia’s major civilizations and the world’s fifth-largest economy. We explore many complex issues that characterize India: Prof. Ithamar Theodor focuses on philosophies and religions in the Indian sub-continent; Dr. Sivan Goren Arzony focuses on women’s literature in India, with special emphasys on Kerala, a southwestern Indian country, particularly the works in Sanskrit and Malayalam from the 14th–18th centuries. We also explore India’s foreign and defense policies and the change in India’s status in Asia and even in the international arena in the last decade.
